First Disaster
So we were up bright and early and ready to go. We went down for a quick 4 am breakfast and got the news. All flights cancelled!!! Ice on the runway had prevented the planes from landing, so no planes to go out on.
So here we sit. In the hotel room. On the phone. On hold. … I'm glad Musac went bancrupt. Air Canada has obviously decided to make their day better by avoiding the phones at all costs. Our travel agent doesn't open until near noon (our time) and our travel insurance is about the same. Our hotel room expires at noon. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.
At least we're glad we left two days play before we have to leave for Abidjan.
Waiting, waiting …… "I waiting alone. My head on the phone. Thinking of you till it hurts …." Musac!

Hmmm, Air Supply? How oddly ironic! Here’s the rest of the lyrics, Jim, in case you want to sing it all over again!
I know Air Canada hurts too but what else can we do
Tormented and torn apart
I wish I could carry my luggage on the plane
For times when my flight feels so slow
It would make me believe what tomorrow could bring
When today doesn’t really know, doesn’t really know
(heehee) Hang in there you two!
Jim,
Have you heard of Murphy’s Law???
